YOU CAN MAKE, ALL NATURAL AVOCADO FACE MASK
Its avocado week here at Uwezo and we are celebrating the goodness in life that is the avocado fruit. You may not know that the avocado’s other name is the “alligator pear” perhaps owing to its rough skin and pear shape. The avocado is very nutritious, has a positive effect on blood cholesterol levels, contains fibers and is full of monounsaturated fat, which is why we cannot afford to miss any home remedies with it.
WHAT IS A FACE MASK?
Before you decide whether to do or not to do a face mask, perhaps we should know exactly what it is. A facial mask, takes place after cleansing, scrubbing, and massage during a professional facial. However at home, you can do it too on a chill Saturday. Facial masks improve a particular skin type or condition.
For instance, if your skin is dry, the facial mask should hydrate your skin. If your skin is heated or inflamed, the mask should calm and soothe. If your skin is oily and congested, the facial mask can help lure out impurities. Normal skin falls in either of the categories above, and this is why doing a face mask at least once every two weeks can reap countless benefits.
By now you know that you can buy a facial mask from the shops in town. This kind may contain ; clay, black moor mud, aloe vera, seaweed, algae, essential oils, massage oils, herbs and vitamins. Or you can make it naturally at home using all ingredients from your kitchen like the ones below.
The natural facial masks generally stays on your skin for 10 to 15 minutes and may be made from eggs, honey, oatmeal etc. the one today is made from avocado, let’s get right to it:
BENEFITS OF DOING A FACE MASK
The avocado is the special fruit for the week as it contains a lot of minerals such as iron, potassium, calcium, sodium, copper, magnesium, etc. It also contains vitamins A, E, B and K. The result of that special cocktail is that the avocado face mask reaches the deepest layers of the epidermis and gives elasticity even to the driest skin.
Here are some homemade avocado facial masks which are good for any type of skin:
1/2 soft avocado
2 tbsp. hot water
1 tsp. honey
Directions: In a bowl, mash the avocado with a fork or in a mixer. Mix the honey into the water and add it to the avocado till you make an even paste. Put it into your face, using your fingers or a special brush. Avoid the area of your eyes and mouth. Keep 10 minutes and wash away.
1/2 soft avocado
1 egg yolk
Directions: In a bowl, mash the avocado and banana. Mix all ingredients well. Again, put on your face and wash after 10 minutes.
This is something you can do for the girl’s sleep over, or just with your little girl at home without spending a killing at the spa.
Note that it has no harmful effects on guys either lol, so feel free to try. In fact it works in the guys’ favor as many of them are afraid of being caught at a spa or even moisturizing at all.
Its easy peezy and the benefits last a life time. Enjoy the glowing skin. Uwezo
